John is a Certified Shadow Work® Facilitator, Coach, and Trainer.

He is also trained to work with individuals using TRE — Trauma Releasing Exercises — which he studied at Das Norddeutsche Institut für Bioenergetische Analyse e.V. (NIBA).

He is currently undertaking certification training in Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST) with Dr. Janina Fisher.

John has more than 36 years of experience working with people in the field of addiction recovery.

In 1995, John was a co-founder of the New Warrior Network in Germany, an international men’s work organisation that later became The Mankind Project Germany.

John has studied Tibetan Buddhism and Buddhist psychology with several Tibetan teachers and scholars, including Dzogchen teacher Namkhai Norbu, H.H. the Dalai Lama, Lobsang Sherab, and Prof. John Reynolds.

John brings a wealth of compassionate insight, life experience, and professional knowledge to everyone he works with - grounded in non-shaming acceptance and respect for each person’s individual path.

He is also a seasoned professional live and studio musician, an avid and recognised photographer and hobby astronomer.
